38 special
Filled up with gas over the weekend. Cost me 38 dollars and 38 cents for a full tank.
Can I just tell you how happy that makes me?
I've honestly not paid anything close to $40 per tank since purchasing my old Ford Expedition in October 2002. In fact, over the past five years I was routinely paying around $80 a pop to gas up "Club X" - as it was known - and even topped $100 at least once last spring.
The new Pilot is definitely friendlier at the pump, but these decent gas prices deserve as much credit as anything. I didn't think I would see the day that gas prices returned below the two-dollar mark, but that's exactly where we are.
Ain't no gas better than cheap gas!
